Looking for a Flash programming mentor

Hello, my name is Naram Qashat. I am currently a senior in Game Design at the International Academy of Design & Technology - Detroit (herein referred to as the Academy). I am seeking a Flash programming mentor for the Capstone class I am taking in the Winter 2009 term (January 5, 2009 through March 20, 2009).

My project for Capstone is continuing work on a Flash game called Aegis, a side-scrolling platformer, which I have been working on with fellow student Marshall Ashton. My goals for the project are to add in many features that Marshall and myself have discussed for the game but were unable to implement within the 11 weeks we had for the Fall 2008 term. Please note that accepting to mentor me will be entirely voluntary but it should not take a lot of time.

Overall, the mentor’s responsibilities and duties include: investing the time and effort to provide an optimal learning experience, provide feedback on both an informal and formal basis, plan a beneficial work experience, work with me on my goals for the Capstone, review the Capstone goals against actual progress and complete an evaluation around mid-quarter, and monitor my progress while reporting concerns to the Academy.

Those that agree to be my mentor will need to send me their resume which I will provide to the department chair, Kim Callery. They will also have to fill out a contract to finalize things, which I will provide at the appropriate time.

Thank you,
Naram Qashat
