I would like to thank you all for a year of helpful information that you extend so kindly.
I admire all your skill and talent.
I have learned a lot from reading this forum.
nevertheless, my skills are very limited. I have a design in mind that i can mostly do thru frames and movie clips. but the file size frightens me. from reading here and looking at tutorials i can imagine a more efficient way through AS, but (for the life of me)wouldn’t know how to do it.
here is a link to what i have so far. test the first 5 thumbnails at top left work basically how i would want them to.
first: i would like to know how to remove image in center when another thumbnail is clicked? instead of button structure i have now that doesn’t remove previous image. is it an emptymovieclip thing and swapdepth?
second: i read the structure tutorial, but can’t wrap my brain around how to go about it. i.e. having only minimal components in the fla and the rest being xml.
if i sound like an idiot. it’s because i am,lol
i would really appreciate any guidance/help.
