Hey Scotty (and anyone else interested in this thread). I posted earlier concerning a problem that I had with Claudio’s scroller. After searching around, I found one of your old threads where you were able to convert Claudio’s actionscript to allow for two simultaneous uses of the custom scroller. After, putting in your script and changing the instance names of the up and down buttons, the bar and the dragger as well as the MC and my mask, I am happy to say that both scrollers now work independantly of each other.
However, now I’m experiencing a new problem. The second scroller which is using your modified script is acting really funny: Basically, my dragger isn’t locked to my bar anymore. The dragger does scroll the mc, but it isn’t locked to the bar and floats all of the page. As a matter of fact, my MC doesn’t seem to have specified up or down anymore either. As long as my mose is still pressed down on the dragger, the MC moves whever the dragger moves. I looked at all of the other threads where I found yours and I didn’t see any one else mentioning a problem like mine. So I went through and doble checked to make sure that I didn’t make a mistake when I changed the instances in the script. I couldn’t see any mess up because all i did was copy and paste your script, then went through and changed the MC and mask names to what I named them in my movie. Then I went into the movie and changed the instance names of my up/down buttons, bar and dragger to match your script.
I really don’t understand why it’s doin that. Can you help me please, if your out there somewhere? I’m sorry that I had to try to contact you through the forum, but I didn’t see any other way to email you or anything. I’d really appreciate any help!
