Lttl question

Hey ther, I just want to know if its possible to put a background in flash like in dreamweaver. (not just a color but also a picture). Cause now im making a little flashmovie and i’ve put a nice pic in the background, then made a new layer and wrote some text. i selected it and put it on the pic. everything works fine but when i publish it, the text doesnt appear. It looks like the text is behind the picture or something. How can i correct that?:-/
