Well I’ll be honest with you, I don’t like the layout at all and here’s why:
You’re not utilizing space very well. You have this flash movie at the top that hogs up all that room in the middle, but leaves 2 empty spots on both sides and all your content is at the bottom of the page.
You’re using a iframe that is located at the bottom of the page so the viewer has to scroll down on the main page, then scroll down again on the iframe to see the rest of the content if there was more. I just don’t like seeing 2 scroll bars.
You should find a way to combine the content with the flash movie in a more oganized way and utilize the space more effectively.
The layout is very suspect, I suggest making the whole site in flash or make the flash at the top small enough so that you can get the HTML part of the site utilizing the whole space of the users screen. I don’t think the logo needs to be over exposed as its not a commercial site however thats really up to you. I think the information would look fine in the normal window if your layout was a bit more efficient on space, however if you do opt to make the site in flash you can add a little javascript so you can display pages in customized pop - ups.
Okay, I’m going to try and utilize the pages into popups, and make the logo and interactive media player. I really don’t think putting all the content into one flash file is going to work for this particular site, as I have a time limit to finish this site. hehe.
Thanks, again. I’ll update you guys, when the changes are finished, so you can see if it’s any better.
I agree with what most people have said, i really think those scroll bars at not neccessary, it looks out of place.
:: why not add your buttons to the flash banner?. Then use frames to have the top frame = flash and the bottom frame = content. Maybe best to not have the animation repeat it self, because it can take the eye away from the content you have written down. maybe have a intro with the animation you have now then go to a static image with the menu buttons, or you can keep the animation but have a delay in between the images fading in.
