Mask Reveal

i have an object moving and i need it to reveal where ever it goes… like it is drawing it. If you can help please do. Any tutorial, link, help. Thanks

the best way to do this in my opinion is to actually use the draw() method on a bitmap. apply the bitmap as a mask over what you would like to reveal… and draw to the bitmap from the movie that you are moving around.

Dear mpelland can you give me some example source file.

I need to create this effect to give the illusion that the top layer image is being erased when
an object (eraser) moves over the image and it reveals the layers underneath.
