Maya 5 - Can I add hotkeys to certain functions?

Hey guys,
While working on a model in Maya today, I noticed that for some important functions, there were no hotkeys, and I hate using the mouse… Is there anyway to add hotkey combinations to certain functions (Ex. View>Look at Selection).
