What is meanwhile ?
meanwhile is a community space for film makers, artists and animators to discuss projects, upload films, images and animation and enjoy this media individually or watch as an audience online. Flash was used to build the enviroment and unity2 as the back end, you can walk around a virtual park with viewing screens and discuss what you see with other users who are currently online, some screens require an audience to activate and all screens can be changed by users uploading films, images and messages.
The Main Features
You can roam the park as a bird (avatar) and talk to others online
You can post messages for people to read later on the message board
You can upload any JPEG image - which will appear on the photo board
You can upload virtually any video or audio file - and this will appear on the 2 cinema screens
You can upload a Flash Animation you have created - and this will appear on the animation board
Go on try it - upload your own video clips, jpegs & animations ! Then why not invite people to a screening of your work
online and discuss it ! (please provide your own nibbles and drink)
