Menu slider

Hi,

I am trying to make a menu that has a “slider” arrow at the top that points to the current button that you clicked. Right now I just have it so that if you click a button it changes the x position of the arrow movie clip to go over a certain button.

I would like to create the effect where it moves slower to the different buttons and then it “springs” back and forth over the button getting closer and closer until it finally stops.

I have tried using some formulas that I found on the web, but I can’t get the button to control the motion of the movie. Can someone please offer some suggestions?

O.k,

I have samurai, and have achieved the effect…

But, the problem that I am having is how to connect the motion to a button action.

any ideas?
