More trouble with if statements!

here is my website in question: www.wideeyestudios.com/upload****
ok, there are 3 buttons (the circular ones) the 2nd & 3rd buttons both have dialogues that come up when clicked. i want to set up an if statement or something equivalent that will make the dialogue for one button close when you click another button, so that the 2 dialogues don’t overlap. (you’ll see what i mean by clicking button 2 then button 3). please help me out if u can! :cubs:

by the way the **** is censoring the word “s h i t” … sorry about the language. :tie:

Ok, I did this one up, trying to keep the format you had in your file.

thanks, but in the script you used, what is “oldMovie” ??

oldMovie is a variable that sets the movieclip you’re going to play to oldMovie do that when you click the next button the previous movie which is now oldMovie will go back to frame 1…does this make sense?..if not, let me know and I’ll try to explain further.
