Morphing a scene on click?

Hi Guys

Im all new to this forum, but not kirupa, I’ve begun learning flash just recently, and im in awe of all the great tutorials out there, but this question i can’t solve without some instant help.
(And excuse me my maybe bad english, but it is not my mother tongue :))

To my question;

I’m making my webpage in to a hybrid of a presentation of my works and an interactive point and click adventure.

To this i need a lot of scenery in motion, and the ability to switch between the sceneries.
At this point i have finished up my first scene in flash, which will more or less function as the mainpage on my website, on there i have created a button which i want to be able to turn the background daylight image into a night image with glowing stars etc…
My lack of knowledge hits me when i need it to be able to morp from the daylight image into the night time one.
By now i have duplicated my original daytime scene, and changed the background image into my nighttime image, as well as made the glowing stars function with some tweening.
The essence of this is then, how do i make my background image change into a new one with a click, and how do i make it go back to the original one, when clicked again?
I want to keep all my elements in my original scene, the only thing i want to change when clicking the button is my daylight scene turning into a nightime one, being it able to only dragging in the glowing stars tweened animation with it. As well, when the button is clicked again, i want the scene to go back to normal.
One last thing ofcourse, i want the transformation from day to night beeing smooth, so i am thinking of an “0 alpha to 100 alpha” tween animation for that to work, but any suggestions and/or help would be greatly appreciated!! :puzzled:

I am not very keen in the actionscript language yet, keep that in mind, but i am learning fast, THANK YOU! :slight_smile:
