Can you clear up a small fact guys…
can you tell me if it’s possible to have more than one motion guide and on different layers?
I’m sure it’s gotta be possible but I tried putting another one into a file I was creating earlier today and it gave me the option of tween but I couldn’t get the motion guide option in the menu.
any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

To my knowledge, you can have as many motion guides as you wish, as long as each one relates to a layer that has a tween on it. Also on your actual motion tween layer, make sure you check the motion guide box.
I think you have to do it basically one at a time, to avoid confusion. Make your tween with a start and end point, then add the motion guide and make sure the guideline is attached to the start and end points on your tween.

I have made sure I had the start and end points correct but when looking to set the motion guide I find the option greyed out…strage I figure !
I gotta be doing something wrong or missing a simple (duh) fact.

ok friend here is the file I started playing around with…
please understand that this is very and I mean very basic.
I was just experimenting with the motion guide options and decided I wanted a second shape to be placed in the letter “D”.
I wanted it to fade in then bounce out and down the symbol to the left of it as if it was travelling down a ski-slope and then disappear of the screen.
sounds complicated eh?
weel as I said it was just me experimenting and trying to learn the motion guide option.
any help would be gratefully appreciated.

but as a “newbie” I will rely on others with much greater talents to point me in the “right direction” or to the “EXIT” sign…LOL.
