I thought about that quite a month ago, but I used my creative energies for something else, so I haven’t tried to realize it.
There a several tutorials about making an object following the cursor, like a “bot” on flashstar.de[/u] or the text “letters” on [u][url=“http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/mousetrailer.htm”]kirupa.com , but…
…what about patterns?
You can draw circles, quarters and every geometrical form you can imagine with actionscript.
So it might be possible to order the elements of the text array (like above) in patterns and to “draw” a face (or whatever).
When the cursor is “on” (somewhere in the flashmovie), the single text elements should follow the trail of the mouse and you couldn’t see the pattern.
Only if the cursor stops, and the “letters” have time to achieve it, they would rearrange in the defined structure.
In the moment I can only think about realizing it in a MovieClip without using actionscript to coordinate the letters how I want them to.
That would look not “in flow” and that’s not what I want.
That’s why I’m asking you.
Maybe somebody has an idea and the skills to realize it.
