Movie Clip Button

I followed the creating movieclip button tutorial on this site and applied it to a door that opens in the onRollOver position and closes in onRollOut position and the button works fine so far. But I need help with two more pieces. 1. If the cursor is placed back over the door prior to the door closing all the way. Then the door should open from the current position where it is. 2. There is a sound file mp3 that needs to be in sync with the movie clip button. Should the button be converted to a movieclip as well.

Code currently looks like this:

button_mc.gotoAndPlay("_over");
