What is the usual dimensions of a full flash site? I have mine set to 800x600, but when I publish it, it doesn’t take up the wole screen, even when I set the percent 100x100. Should it be a different size or what?
Thanks
heh… well if you set it to 800X600 it will take the whole screen of some1 who has theirs resolution at 800X600…
u obviously have it higher and thats why it doesn’t take the whole screan…
but i wouldn’t recomend even making bigger than that because then people with 800X600 won’t be able to see the whole thing…
well what should I set it at then?
well… i always make mine at 550X400 but thats cause i have a mad small monitor… its really ur dicision though…
HCLPfan is right first you should think about who your audience
is and what screen size they might have there computers set to.
You can also write a java check on html that the flash is embedded into checking the screen size of the user then you can have 2 different sites one 800 X 600 and another larger. Which is a bit extreme. It really depends on your audience your trying to attract.
This may be easy but for the life of me, i can’t figure out how to do it…
I am trying to publish a flash movie of 700x400pixels so that it is positioned in the centre of browser page with a border sourounding the movie that extends to the end of the browser.
I know how to achieve this using .swf file that is embeded in an html table but how can i do this with a .exe flash projector ??
I know it is possible as I have has seen the result - a projector file which opens a file called border.swf and also another .swf file which is the movie within the border.
Any suggestions ?
hey chapster would you be so kind as to elaborate on what you said about that java html thing that would load the appropriate site to 800x 600 viewers and the 1024 audience as well, i would really appreciate knowing how to do that!!! thanks
Only know it can be done I don’t write java but someone did it for a site I done a long time ago. I tried to find that site but can’t find it I lost a sh""it load of info in a crash on my computer a few months ago and that site may have been on there as well. But it can be done you might have to look up goggle and look up java sites they might have a code for checking the resolution of the users screen then all it is is when the java receives the users resolution settings it launches the appropriate site size.
Sorry I could not be anymore help…
ok thanks
