I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on this.
It seems as if overnight many of the flash site I have built or manage are now displaying that pesky MS info bar saying “This site might require the following ActiveX control: Macromedia Flash Player 7” I also see it on Kirupa right now. I did some searches and discovered it is due to XP SP2. Heres a link to Macromedia http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?event=view&id=KC.tn_19479&extid=tn_19479&dialogID=3831659&iterationID=2&sessionID=96302e0a1620c$3F$3F$&stateID=1%200%2023240725&mode=simple
My question is this, on a few sites, Yahoo included I don’t see the warning, even though some of the pages there have flash based banners. Does anyone know if there is a different flash embed method to get around this warning? My company fears that people won’t click the install, and consequently not see our page content.
Thanks for the help.
