ok so what im aiming for is to have people from different computers to log in online to a virtual space.
basically functions somewhat of a chat forum with avitars.
how would i begin to go about this?
I have basic php and moderate actionscript 2 knowledge and for now ill run it off the localhost on my computer.
any lead would be great.

ps. the characters can interact through little emoticons like simple movie clips, what one person does the other will also see
