Music Size

I’m working on a game, and the game is relatively well-scripted, so the file size if extremely small, only a few hundred kilobytes. The problem is that if I place a few songs in the game, even if they are loops, the file size increases rapidly. Is there a good way I can keep the music quality and decrease the filesize without compressing the songs too much?

i say you should load them in separately. give users the option to have music because I know, being a uni student that has ‘prepaid’ net access it really annoys me when I am forced to download files with stuff (such as music) that I’d just turn off anyway. also you can then have separate loaders for the music.
