time to give something back!
I wanted a random resize xml slideshow, based on the kirupa slideshow tutorial.
I trawled this forums’ threads and posts and never found a instant solution but encountered many wanting something similar
well after much trial and error I managed to combine many different ideas and clues to make a working Random xml resize slide show. yay!
Much thanks to :yoda:kirupa, stringy, scotty, cello (and others) for their help and coding on this …Its your answers and help to others in this forum that enabled to cobble together this solution. in doing so I’ve stretched my Flash AS understanding and but learnt a lot (not enough):ne:
this forums ‘search thread and post’ feature is awesomely useful.
now this slideshow is pretty basic, the limit of my flash skills at the moment. because it’s ‘random’ it can load the same image twice in a row, the more images you add the less likley that will happen.
If you can make it ‘better’ have at it, but I’ve exhausted my skills (not saying much). but I’d love to see it not loading same image twice in a row or fancy image mask transitions or something.
