I’m not usually the type to rant and moan but…
My boss, bless her heart, is REALLY doing my head in today!
She’s a lovely person who’s very friendly and easy to get along with, but sometimes I seriously wonder how she became the manager of our department!
I work in the print and publications department of a company, in my department are 2 web designers (me and another guy), 2 graphic designers, 2 marketing peeps, and one manager (her).
We’re currently starting up our own mini social networking site as a service to our members, and we wanted to be able to have people send in photos to their online profile via mms. A guy came in and we had a big meeting discussing the best ways of going about it etc. Then, halfway through the meeting, she comes out with this:
“If I wanted to send a picture in to my profile from my phone, would I need a camera on it?”
The guy who came to talk to us was a bit puzzled:
“Well it would be rather difficult to take pictures without a camera…”
So she said:
“Well not all people have camera’s on their phones, I certainly don’t!”
At about this point, myself and the other web guy got an uncontrollable fit of giggles which we were trying to stifle… Naturally this made it worse, and I had to excuse myself and rush to the bathroom to try to regain my composure!
This is the latest in a long long list of stupid things she’s come out with. She doesn’t have a clue!!!
How she became the manager of a department which is predominantly technology based I have absolutely no idea!!
