My div in firefox takes a:hover and works but won't take a:link?

Hey all,

I have 2 divs one for my content and one for my footer.
In each of these divs i apply different a:link and a:hover colours.

This is getting through on my footer div and working correctly but on my content div only the a:link, a:active, a:visited are still taking the footer contents colours??

Why wouldn’t this be getting my new colours???

Any ideas why this is only happening in Firefox it works fine in IE7
