My New Flash Site

hi everyone I have just only learnt of loading external text so I have made a Flash Site that uses just well loaded text into a dynamic text field with scroll bars. Thanks kirupa for the tutorials they really help me!!!(-:

thanks thesparky007, Yes i have been doing a dew tutorials on scroll bars and dynamic text and stuff. I hope soon when im 13 to make an advanced flash web. 1 year of revising flash i guess so lol

np, but i think you need to improve design wise more than functionality, if your design looks good, most of the time basic functionality will do the job, but basic design and cool functionality dont work that well.

It’s a good start code-wise, but like sparky said you should work on your design. I think you should lose the flashing images at the top or at least the epileptic flashing, and add some rollOver’s for your menu. )

Only use a vertical scollbar, not a horizontal one too.

your getting better… but I would spend some time looking at site in the “kool sites” section… and mabey even try to copy them for practice :slight_smile:

Design wise thats horrible.
You should really loose the images at left- and right top. You should also skip the horizontal scrollbar, and the menu is quite plain just being an rectangle with round corners :confused:

the only thing i can say that is of any meaning is to design in photoshop first and then chop up the psd into jpgs and pngs and import those into flash, recreate what you can with the tools in flash.
Pros do this so that their design is final from the beginning, and therefore all the sections and pages would be consistant and look good.
Theres no way you can just “Be Better” at designing without practising, I have SOOO many photoshop templates in my Projects folder that I just made out of boredom and to further what skills I have (If any, I’m unsure of what I’m doing here)
