NASA is upgrading the ISS crew’s old laptops and network gear, starting with servers before the new machines get handed over to the astronauts.
Those old ISS laptops have had a heroic run, but I’m mostly relieved they’re doing the backend/network bits first — nothing like shiny new machines talking to ancient servers and turning into a support circus. HP ZBooks are solid, but I bet half the “upgrade” work is just making sure all the weird legacy tools still behave.
