Nav and Colour function

I am making a isometric map which displays software within a building.

I have got as far as the infrastructure, however now found that I need some way of controlling assets through AS.

At the moment, if I set a colour then try and nav to another floor all the colour data disappears.

Basically I need some way of controlling the colour of a movieclip

and or a away of making a movieclip visable/invisable
