Navigation Bar Follower

On some sites I have seen something like a little line that follows your mouse when you move from one navigational bar button to another. It’s the kind that only moves left or right, not up or down. I have always wondered how you can accomplish this, so can anyone please help or post a site it a tutorial on it? Much appreciated.
