Need advice about scrolling text

I’m a relative Flash novice and I’m putting a site together. I’m going to have some text that scrolls. I tried doing it with externally loaded text and with text I pasted but the problem with both is that it creates very dull un-styled text.It’s the only text field that scrolls so I’d like it to have the same look as the rest of the text on the sight. How I should I go about this? Css? Is there an easier way?
