I’ve posted a similar question a few days ago in the Best of Kirupa… , but it seems not many people visit that forum.
I created an XML gallery with a resizing border based on Scotty’s code with a few modifications. I have an infinite menu with dynamicly loaded thumbnails which scroll according to mouse posiion.
Now, I would like to make a few changes, but I’m struggling with the code. Bear in mind that my knowledge of AS is fairly limited 
I would like the thumnails to scroll using two buttons (left and right) and the scrolling should stop if it gets to either the first or the last thumbnail image in the XML file.
Is it possible to preload each thumbnail individually and make them fade in rather than just pop into the screen?
Also, would it be possible to load each thumb in two positions (one under the other and upside down to make a reflection effect)?
