Hello all,
I just joined this site and have already found it to be a tremendous resource. I’m very new to Flash (I just started teaching myself it on Sunday) and I have a question that I was not able to find answered anywhere.
I’ve created a photo/audio slideshow that is pretty basic. Photos fade into each other while an audio track plays along that narrates the show. I created a progress timeline of sorts that’s under the photos with a circular ball that starts at the front of the line and follows the progress of the photos to the end of the slideshow where it stops at the end of the line. It’s nothing scientific by any measure, a keyframe on frame one and one on the last frame and a tween in between that the ball follows.
Although this works fine and allows the viewer to see how far along and how much more is remaining of the slideshow, I want the viewer to be able to click on the ball and scroll it along that line and be able to scroll to any part of the slideshow that they wish. I understand that this is a good deal of scripting but I haven’t been able to find any tutorial or anything that shows how to do this, and I"m completely stumped. If anyone has any advice or could point me toward a tutorial, I would be greatly thankful. Thanks in advance of any help!
