Need help on starting up a racing game using scanlines

hi. I’m having trouble finding a resource on creating a fake 3d racing game just like in heat rush and outrun using scanlines. I do hope someone could point me to a link, tutorial or book which could give some pointers about this even just for starting to set things up and I’d be the one to add things after that. any help would be appreciated.
