Need help with customizing XML Photo gallery scroll bar

Hi all. any ideas on how i can get the scrolling on my XML photogallery (taken from:
http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/thumbnails.htm )
to operate smoothly like this:

I want the movement to be more “elastic”
I’ve tried merging the action script - but i’m getting a bit out of my league in flash here.
any ideas would be awesome.
