I am currently working on a re-design for a website for an E-commerce innovation company. They would like to achieve a more product oriented design and de-complicate the site. There is far too much content and they would like to make it more obvious to potential customers. Their target audience is web business, not consumers.
I have made a couple mockups, and the one I’m currently playing with has an issue. If you look at their current site, you will see the Flash banner they have on the main page. This serves the purpose of grabbing attention and in as few words as possible, tell you what they do.
I would like to integrate the same type of idea into the template I’m working on, but there seems to be no obvious way to integrate a flash peice in there without either detracting from the content, or getting in the way in general.
I have attempted to put it under the nav at the top, but it crowds the nav and i would like to stick away from that, Also, the Flash peice doesn’t need to be square, it can overlap, or underlap, etc…
