i need to convert this into a movie clip that I can place in a frame of my main movie. i’ve tried a few times with no success. It will not play anymore. Please help.

maybe the problem is the _root thing
you’re targetting mc’s that are not in the _root of the movie when you place everything into another movie clip
try replacing it with this or _root.movieclipInstanceName or remove it completely
