New A.S. needed..."lights on/off"

OK heres the idea… there is a tree with those christmas tree lights on it, and has a cord laying on the ground, if you click on the cord it picks it up and u can plug it in. lgiths come on right? that would be awesome, and same with unplug, i have attached a simple picture, for a idea of what im talking about, help if you can…anything is welcome…
