[SIZE=3][FONT=Arial]Two new video tutorials have been added to the FocusOnFlash web site covering the IF statement in AS3. I discuss many of the comparison and logical operators associated with conditional statements and in Part 2 we build a user Log In form and use the IF statement to compare data and determine a valid log in. Thanks Alex,

I appreciate the input. They are about to get much more interesting as we wrap up the fundementals and move into OOP and classes in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the tutorials and Im glad to see that your still helping out the community despite how everyone dissed your website. Learning AS is more important than what it looks like to me especially when you take the time to help us out with getting better at AS3 so thank you for your hard work.

I really appreciate your comments. I enjoy teaching and will continue to write tutorials on AS3 and other topics pertaining to web development. I actually have a Masters in Education and also an undergraduate degree in Computer Science. So to me it is just a natural mix.

I really didn’t take the critique of the web site as a diss. They were trying to be helpful and I really did appreciate it. I really do need some good feedback on how to make the web site a better place to visit. Besides it gives me the opportunity to learn something new. I have always wanted to learn design techniques and some of the feedback I have received has been very helpful. I am studying how to improve the site design and will continue to improve upon it as the months go by.

The upcoming tutorials will surprise everyone. I have some ideas in development that will change the meaning of on-line tutorials. I really plan to push the envelope on topics for the registered users once the AS3 fundementals have been completed.

Thanks again for your positive comments. I do receive alot of good feedback on the content of the tutorials.

well I am good at design and suck at programming which is why Im on here most of the time. If you ever want help I would be more than happy to help you out. You’ve helped me out with your videos. Here is a site I did that is going to be doing something similar for dentist. The site design is mine and the player just stuff Ive seen in other forums. www.dds-online.com Also the landing page was my design which is www.dds-online.com/landing-page.html both use video in a different way.

Sorry for the delay in responding back, I have been out of the country for a couple weeks. I looked at both the sites and I must say you do really good work. I wish that I had half that kind of talent, my site would look much better if I did.
