No follow-up from Tutorial/Site Owner?

As a new member, I don’t intend to be a forum crasher/basher of any sort, but as someone with a new member’s perspective, I think this is constructive.

Kirupa authored a nice tutorial on ‘Simple Custom Scrollbars’, which I successfully created. However, there is a problem with getting this to work on existing flash projects, wherein the problem of the scrollface relocating to 0,0 occurs.

This question appears to have been asked before on this forum, but has never been addressed:

In fact, there are a handful of troubleshooting questions regarding this particular tutorial, and most of them have either zero replies or a bunch of “bumps” from the thread authors with no responses.

Might I kindly make the suggestion that if you are going to post tutorials that are intended for Flash beginners (and state at the end of your tutorial that any questions can be directed and answered at the forums) or anyone for that matter, you follow up with those who are having problems? Otherwise, you are essentially left with a tutorial for creating something that works on its own, but isn’t practical because it can’t be incorporated into other projects.

Again, this is just some constructive criticism that I think would make this site more beneficial to its users, especially beginners :thumb:
