Hi guys,
i came across a weird problem relating to audio in Firefox. On our site we have a basic mp3 flash player which plays the news highlights. As soon as that player is loaded any other audio (via flash) in any other tab or window in Firefox will cease to play. This baffeled me since I can’t see how the actionscript in one flash file can have any influence on that of others across different domains or even across other tabs or windows. The same occurs when you use the stop button of this player.
I provided you with a test site
[URL=“http://www.classicfm.nl/audiotest/”]
http://www.classicfm.nl/audiotest/
Basically how you can test this best is to open in a tab or window a youtube movie with audio or some other flash audio and then open the link. Or if you have it open, refresh the page. You can also just click on the stop control in the player. On loading or pressing stop… the audio from the other tabs should stop.
hope someone can shed some light on this issue.
Thanks in advance,
Dwayne Roberts
