Not playing at full fps

Hi, I have created a stop animation which is set to play when a button is pressed. My problem is that the first time the button is pressed the animation plays through at about half the fps it should be playing at, if I watch the same animation again it will play through at the correct speed. Is there anyway to get the animation to play through at the correct speed on the first play? Any help would be amazing
