Not your standard shape tween

Wow - does any of you people know how to achieve this shape tween effect. It may be simple for you guys to achieve so please spread your knowledge. Every shape tween tutorial I find on the net, is simply a square to a circle or daft stuff like that.

Any chance you could help me learn this type of tween effect.

I have seen the effect on other cool sites, where each page loads. Its an effect I would really love to learn, please help, and take note I am not an expert but a beginner / determined user of Flash MX

Someone asked about the same effect earlier as well. It’s just a mask that has been shape tweened.

Hi Electrongeek, ok you say a mask, can you exapand a little more on that, like I said I am not expert user or intermediate for that matter.

Just take a look at this example I quickly put together, it’s pretty much self explanitory. Enjoy. =)

Thanks for the quick sample, I see it. One more thing. When performing the shape tween it does like the go its own way. For example I had the box. made a key frame at 15. The did an edit transform for the box then used the envelope tool to make the middle pint lower, i.e similar to the effect you had. Upon playback of the tween, you do get the effect, but it sort of rotates. I understand ?hints? is suppose to help this, but how exactly? oh and thanx for the reply

Its ok, I have just tried it. I placed the shape tweens in the corners and it worked. Am I doing it right? it works ok and looks ok, so I guess I am :slight_smile:
