great site, and i reall like that clock! great job!
Am I the only person here geeky enough to think the binary clock is a cool thing?
I like shoutboxes too. Plus I wanted to see if I could code some decent PHP. :beam:
yeah the binary clock is cool! :thumb:
that clock is evil…I caught myself staring at it for like 5 minutes
i donno, its cool and all, but i still dont get it! lol. 1-2-4-8? what happend the the other numbers? and i thought binary was 00010010111110101 or that kinda thing?
the best thing is teh header, that looks great. i like the shout box idea, beats a forum which takes up to much space. i would have it go newest to oldest though.
The clock is poo!! I can’t understand it
the fact that she got it to work is cool. but i dont understand it. hmm i will google it and return what i find!

binary is the numbers but when you convert it to normal you gotta muliply it. the first number is multiplied by 1, the second is by 2, the third by 4, the fourth by 8 and so on.
so… 10 in binary would be 2 because 01 is 0 and 12 is 2 then 2+0 is 2.
Yeah, this guy has it… Although binary is a series of 1’s and 0’s, the light’s each represent either a 1 or a 0.
So as a basic example…
8 4 2 1 (units)
1 1 0 1 (binary)
This means that the binary number represents an 8, a 4 and 1 one added together, which is 13. So 1101 is the binary equivalent of 13 in base 10.
If you all do a search on the Net I’m sure you can find a better explanation, but rest assured, that my clock <i>works</i> and is accurate. :bad:
Shall I confuse everyone now by going into hexadecimal?
I think the binary clock is cool, and even knew how to read it before the explanation. Bring on the hex, and toss in a little octal for good measure. I wax nostalgic for the “good ol’ days” where we actually did a little coding in binary, octal, and hexadecimal.
I know, I know, I’m marching to a whole 'nother band.
Nice site layout Kit, carry on…
You’re not the only one. I was taught binary, hex and octal for GSCE Computer Studies about 10 years ago, and I still remember it.
Anyway, thanks for the comments guys. I think I’m probably going to go with this design now, though I’ve no idea how long it’ll take to piece together…
Here’s another compliment. But from me!! It looks awesome and stay with the binary clock. Another thing…i read in your news about flash mx 2. What’s that all about? Was that a joke in your news section? I search macromedia but i haven’t found nothing about it! Where is it?
Well, there is meant to be a new update to MX coming out in the not too distant future, but what I wrote on the screen shot was basically just filler, to see how the thing would look.
<b>Guiltily wonders how many people she’s sent hunting Macromedia’s site</b>
That’s looking pretty smooth…
Heh, first post since my return from vacation Nice Kit
It looks very smooth.
hehe kit, i did not stay up all night writing threting letters to mm to show me the artical. hehe, whats up with these guys following me?!
I love it, its better than the current one
Nice work kit
ummm…Kitiara? Will the cute little plane (with eyes and mouth) be done tomorrow?
Yes it will, have no fear. It’s Friday night, any plans I had for going down the pub have fallen through thanks to my totally disorganised friends (honestly, men!
) so I’m having a drawing evening. :beam:
Thanks for the comments as well guys, it’s much appreciated. Since everyone seems to like it, I’m going to go with this layout etc. Hopefully should be a lot more interactive and all that the placeholder at the moment.
