Something like that happened to me once. But it was playing soccer, and I went to block someones kick and we both kicked the ball at the same time.

It ended up blasting upwards and smacked me in the face.

We all had a good laugh, I caught them offguard and passed the ball to a team-mate… it was fun.

The wonders of high school gym.
