I have a client that wants to promote a new lighting product on the internet. Its a remote controlled light dimmer attachment for a standard light fitting that works using a standard TV remote control. It retails for around £10 and we reckon it’ll sell if people get to know about it!
It obviously needs targeted traffic but as its a unique product, people arent searching for it on the search engines and trying to get good results with keywords such as ‘lighting’ would be useless! I’ve thought about untargetted traffic from banners and popups etc, but not sure of the best places to buy space on web sites for ad banners or popups and obviously dont want to get ripped off!
Does any one have any experience with banners and popups or similar? Also email harvesters - are they worth it and / or legal to pull random email addresses and spam them?? Maybe you could share your experiences if you have been in a similar situation?
