Open source arm for automated hardware probing

A hobbyist built an AI-assisted hardware-hacking arm from duct tape, an old camera, and a CNC machine, turning a rough parts-bin setup into a surprisingly capable probing tool.

Really cool to see they’re doing microscope mapping plus safety-monitored motion, because repeatable coordinate transforms and hard travel limits are what make these DIY probe rigs actually usable instead of terrifying. If you try it, add a cheap Z-limit switch and an inline current limit on the probe line to save targets when the model gets “confident”
