um, how about the Symbol font?
use the character map to find exactly what you’re looking for: it should be located under Accessories>System Tools in your start menu.

Sometimes I just go to MS Word, go to Insert | Symbol, insert the symbol that I want, and then copy & paste that symbol into where I would need it :pirate3:

If you’re looking for mathematical symbols that aren’t in the Symbol font, I don’t know any fonts that could help, but there are programs like Maple and Mathematica that may help - depending on what you want to use the symbols for…

I think the Word’s Symbol feature includes more options for categorizing the symbols. There is a menu option for “Mathematical Operators” for example.

But Mathematica, Maple, and maybe even MatLab include extra symbols that normal fonts won’t have like hifi mentioned.
