I have the feeling that its a simple question, but still I don’t know the solution.
I’m making a document in adobe indesign, and I want to make it with page numbering and chapters. Now I have found how I can adjust the page numbering but I don’t see it at the pages itself. Is there an option or something to turn that on?
actually homie, if you go to…I believe it’s the type menu, and then insert > special characters, you should see an option called “auto-page numbering” or something to that effect.
Your best bet is to create master pages for each of your chapters, and place and format your auto-page number text field on your masters. That way, as you apply your master pages, they will automatically place the correctly formatted auto-page numbers (and whatever other formatting you create on your masters) in place.
If you’re not familiar with master pages, definitely read up on them before you get too far along with your document.
Thanks, I will have a look at it. It’s screwd up that I don’t have the english version of indisign but the dutch one (got it from skool) pff. But I will look at that link. Thanks alot!
I will post it if I figured it out.
Got the solution! It was a language problem. I was thinking that a master page was something special, but I din’t knew that it’s called in dutch “stramien pagina”.
