I’m using an open source actionscript3 version of page flip book by Florian Nucke

it uses a format where megazine.swf holds the elements from interface.swf and comes to life in the html page with javascript.
i just wanted to simply have a button displayed on stage that goes to another url. I was recommended by Mr. Nucke to just add and position the button on the megazine.swf.
It worked beautifully. When testing the megazine.swf, the button worked.
However, once testing the megazine in html (incorporating both interface.swf and megazine.swf), the button no longer works while the interface swf buttons still work fine… basically, the flipbook worked fine, but the link button i made did not work.
I guess my simple question is, is there an easy way for my parent swf to have a functioning button?
It seems too difficult to figure out how to put the button inside interface.fla due to many actionscript files and classes.
I’d really appreciate anyone’s feedback, opinion, or solutions.
