Partial movie after publishing

Hi all, purchased a flash 8 template from template monster. it runs perfectly when I play the swf file that came with it. however, when i import it into flash 8 (trial version in day 1) on the stage, even if I don’t modify it but rather only save it as a different fla file, when played…even inside of flash, much of the right side of the movie is cut off…and it is all not centered properly…moving to the upper left in my browser. what, please, might I be doing wrong? many thanks!
