Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible to have a preloader display the %loaded of both of them…I load two swfs at one time…a background swf and the swf that sits on top of the background. Right now I have a preloader on just the foreground swf which works fine. Can I make it so it displays the progress for both?
That looks pretty crazy bloated. I’m sure the features are awesome, but that’s sort of the problem with catch-all classes like that, it’s bound to have features you don’t need.
As with any classes, it’s always going to have things you may not need for any given project; but if that’s the logic, no-one should use Flint, Fisix, PaperVision etc. etc. etc. - the reality is that these classes may have a bit of overhead from doing a little more than any given project may need, but the benefits to having that functionality and easy of use are many
I’ve used BL for a number of AS3 jobs now, and it’s just made my life so much easier to load in multiple assets… you instantiate it, tell it what to load, tell it to go and wait for the results. It also simplifies instantiating data from different types - images, SWFs, sound etc. - again, some overhead, but making life so much easier
Anyway, I use it and really like it, your mileage may vary.
