Photoshop cs2 get layer selection

how do you do it in cs2? Yeah you can use magic want, but in cs1 you could ctlrl+click the layer in the layer window to get it’s selection. This is driving me nuts.

That should still work (it’s command-click layer in Apple).

I think different things happen if you click the layer, the layer label, or the layer thumb, so maybe that’s it.

I think jimhere is correct and that you must be clicking the wrong part of the layer identifyer. Otherwise it’s still Ctrl + click.

ctrl+click works for me!

Works for me also. You just have to make sure you are clicking the actual image in layer palette.

In CS you could ctrl+click anywhere in the layer palette box for that particular layer. For example, you could ctrl+click on the name and it would select it.

But in CS2 you must ctrl+click on the image itself in the pallete.

yea click on the thumbnail man

i had already answered this a while back, but yeah click the thumbnail.

A little repetition never hurts. :pleased:

Woops, did i ask this a while ago and never look at the thread:sigh: sorry lol

Thanks guys, I feel a little stupid, but at least that will speed things up a little.

Not sure it was mentioned but… just click the thumbail, you should be fine. hehe
