I have been using php based projects for a little while and a problem constently occurs; whenever I am typing a " ’ " (apostrophe) inside the fields to be filled, I get a pong " /’ " inside the answer fed back by the php…

note; I am building up another project with a database and get the same problem.
I am guessing this is a problem of translation. The mac I am working on was bought in the US and is now in Europe (France). The servers I am hosting these sites on are also usually in Europe.
