Pixel Art on Kirupa.com

At http://kirupa.com/newdesign/ there are many small pixel art images. I was wondering if anyone could please give me a step by step run down as to how I can create such images.

As a general rule here, search before posting. This question has been asked many times before.

The answer in a nutshell:
You zoom in as far as you can go and just experiment with filling in each pixel making it how you want it.

well with over 500 K posts, i could have been searching for a long time. if no one here can help me, hopefully i can find some pixel art tutorials on google. atleast someone replied :o

man you guys, give that poor bastard a break. he’s a noob to kirupa. we’re gonna get a reputation for being the a-hole forum in the flash community. and as for creating pixel art : theres a lot of great sites that give tutorials on how to create pixelart, just do a google search and explore.

edit: oh and if you do resizing in photoshop but your PS blurs the resampling by default, make sure you check the option in the preferences to ‘nearest neighbor’ which won’t smooth the resampling…

thanks for the assitance, after searching on google i found ‘isometric pixel art’ tutorials. i have done some basic work with cubes and such, I will now have to practice and hone my skills.
here is an example of my first pixel art building :confused:

looks cool, except maybe the white lines do not work out well… Try adding some shading & shadows and it’ll look even better ! (like in the two example icons you provided)

that’s where the art form comes in in pixel art. you need to practice alotto know where shading looks good. the basics of drawing shapes and grids is easy
